Sad news about coupon class

I just got an email from the lady teaching the class, and she has been told she cannot teach any more classes until about March. She says that the newspapers are struggling, and are not taking any new subscriptions. It does not make sense to me, but oh well.

I will plan another class as soon as she can start teaching again. I am so sorry and sad!! If you want to go to the website to see kinda how to do the system, and see what is the best price. And it is all free!!

So please spread the word to those who were coming, and you invited.

Good Morning

Hadley is so cute in the mornings. She is as happy as can be, and just lays in her crib talking and smiling. I tried to catch her "talking" but of course she stopped when I got the camera, but she did smile. So cute!! I love this stage when babies start to do things. video

Happy Valentine's

What a fun day! We started our Valentine's day with french toast in the shape of hearts, and then Hadley and I got ready to go to a Relief Society Enrichment meeting where Bonnie D. Parkin came to speak.(more about that later)When I got home the boys showed me all they had been up to. They had cut out hearts and hung them up, and dipped strawberries in white chocolate. The boys and I then made heart shaped sugar cookies. We then went to cheer on Sam at church B-ball, and then came home to make our heart shaped hamburgers with french fries and red soda. Good times at the El Halta's. We hope you all had a great day!1

Yummy french toast

Didn't Sam do great job with the strawberries? They taste as good as they look!! Thanks hunny.

Zack made this heart by himself and then wrote his name. What a sweet son I have!! Actually I am blessed to have two!

Here are our cookies. We will be delivering plates on cookies tomorrow. Seriously, a bakery has nothing on us!

Yummy dinner!

Will you be mine?

Bonnie bought this outfit for Hadley. And yes, Hadley will be your valentine!! Bonnie's favorite part of the outfit was the hearts on the bum.

Let's help in any wy we can

Oh my word is all I can say. As a mother who has 2 and a brand new baby, I can not imagine the pain of finding out that something is wrong with my baby, and that they would not live for more than maybe a few hours. A friend of my friend Lara's just found out 2 weeks ago that her baby she is carrying has anencephaly. Basically Isacc will be born with little or no brain and scull, and will pass away shortly after he is born. My friend Lara has set up a fundraiser for this family. They need all the help they can get. Go to Lara's blog to learn more about the fundraiser and Isacc. I know that things are tight, but if we could all help in any way I know it wold touch this family!!

Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Today is Jackson's official birthday. He was born at 10:50am. The funniest part of his delivery is that Bonnie was flying to Hawaii that day and wanted to be able to see him before he was born and so she kept harassing me(up until the day) that I needed to have him before she left. Well I would like to say that I obliged. Maybe it is more that Jackson obliged, but either way he was born before she left.
Valerie was supposed to take Bonnie to the airport, but when Sam called her that morning and said that I was definitely in labor, Bonnie came with Valerie, and then called her great friend Michelle to take her to the airport. So we had my mom, my sister Abby, Valerie, Bonnie and Michelle all at our house. Good times.** Not all those people were in the room when I delivered. Only my mom, Sam, Valerie and Abby.
Before Jack was born we did not have a name picked out so we just started making a list of names that we liked and figured we would know when he was born. Sure enough after he was born, Sam had the list and we read down the names and after Sam said Jackson both of us knew that was the one. Jackson Samuel El Halta.

Because we were up north this weekend we decided to have his birthday party on Saturday.
Sorry the pictures are in reverse order of the day. But the reason that there are pictures of people sleeping is because my family always falls asleep. I think they need more sleep? Then everyone that was there, and Zack writing Bonnie's name which of course she loved, and then the cute Wall-e cake that I made.

Calling All Cedar Citians

Denny's here in Cedar (actually all Denny's. I would call the one in your area to make sure they are participating) from 6am to 2pm is giving free Grand Slams. Not that I think Denny's is the best place to eat, but I am all about free food!!! If there is anyone that wants to get together and go with us for a free breakfast let me know. I think it would be fun to get a bunch of us together!!!
We are planning to go at 9am if anyone wants to join.

Super Bowl Sunday

Not only was it Super Bowl Sunday yesterday, but also our Stake Conference. It was a busy day. It started with Sam going to Stake Priesthood Leadership, so I had to get the kids ready by myself (Sam ended up coming home and not staying to save seats, so he helped with the last minute stuff)
Hadley looked adorable!

Before conference I got called ( asked to serve) as a Relief Society teacher. I am very excited. I love teaching RS!

After conference we came home and made fun food and hung out as a family. Sam and I realized this is firs year since we have known each other that we did not have a party with people over. But we had fun none the less. Zack was so excited to watch the commercial in 3D. It was the highlight of the night.

And the last picture is one Zack took of Jackson. How can you say no to that smile?

"Karo syrup bows"

It scares me that Zack seems o know more about "girlie" things than I do. Not that it is hard, but funny. The other day Zack asked me if we could a "Karo syrup bow" in Hadley's hair. I said yes, so I went online to see if there was a trick to making one besides tying a bow. I saw some that has a little pearl so I made one. The bow was cute, I just didn't know where to put it on her head. I have made some more and gotten better at the placement, but this was our first one ever!

* I have to say I kinda like these bows considering Hadley doesn't have much hair.
